Mirta was an amazing mom, sister, daughter, aunt and grandmother. Her 68 years of life were full of love, compassion, care and life!  Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and moved to Indiana, New York, Massachusetts then Florida.

A mother to 5 kids, a grandmother to 20+ grandchildren, the youngest to 18 siblings, and an aunt to over 200 nieces and nephews, a fiancé to a man who unselfishly inherited her and 4 of her children for the past 40 years. She was a pillar in whatever community she lived in, a stable rock to her friends and even to strangers. The word “amazing” falls short in describing who she was.

Mirta’s legacy was one that spoke volumes. The impact that she had to any and everyone she even came into contact with, was angelic, special and meaningful in every aspect. With her broken english (spanglish), she always kept smiles on faces. When someone was having a bad day, call on mom and she would turn that frown into a smile, instantly.

At the tender age of 68, she was as active as a 50 year old. She was constantly helping our her children, grandchildren and even granddogs. Her biggest passion was her garden. Flowers, plants, fruits, vegetables, etc. Most of her days were spent outside perfecting her garden and helping others with their plants  She was a teacher of the
